How do I make an account?
How do I make an account for a library resource?
Answer
This can be a confusing question. In addition to your Franklin Pierce account, many of our resources allow users to make accounts to take advantage of personalization features. You DO NOT need an account to use the library's website.
- Researchers located off the Rindge Campus will be asked to login using their Franklin Pierce University credentials (username and password).
- You can use your Franklin Pierce credentials to log in to your library account: 'My Account' on library web page or by clicking 'Sign In' on the top right corner of the catalog.
- From here you can save searches, create lists of materials, submit interlibrary loan requests, and renew items.
- Some databases (e.g. ProQuest, JSTOR, all EBSCOhost databases) allow users to create a personal login and password. These personalization features may include: saving searches, saving articles, sharing items with other researchers.
- Some databases (e.g. Up-to-Date, PA Easy) require you to use your Franklin Pierce email address to create an account. You should not reuse your Franklin Pierce password when creating an account with a non-FPU entity.
