How do I access articles that cost money?

Help!  I don't want to pay for articles, but all the ones I find cost money.  What do I do?

Answer

Many of the articles you find while searching the internet are also available to you in our databases.  We recommend that you begin your research using library databases.

Below, you will find links to:

  • our complete list of databases (A-Z List)
  • not sure what database to use for your subect? We have a list of Research Guides by Subject to find the best databases for each subject
  • if you already found the article, you can check to see if it's available in one of our databases by using the Journal Finder tool.
  • frequently Google Scholar will have links to free versions of articles
  • if you can't find it anywhere else (too new, too old, too obscure?) then submit an Interlibrary Loan Request and we will see if can get it for you from another library.  Please note - these are not instant and may take 1-7 days to fill.
